Adding a
newsletter
subscription form
to your
website
Adding
a newsletter
subscription
form on your
website can
help boost
your opt-in
mailing
list. It's
easy to
integrate
with your
website via
the
Shortburst
member area.
Follow
the steps
below to add
a
subscription
form to your website.
1)
Login to
your account
and enter
the Client
Area
2)
From the
right-hand
menu Click Website
Integration.
You will
find this
under Set
Up
within the Email
Broadcaster
list
3)
Click Generate
Subscription
Form HTML
Code
from the
list on
screen.
4)
From the Mailing
List
drop-down
menu select
the mailing
list your
subscribers
should be
put into
once they
have
subscribed.
5)
From the Included
Fields
list select
the fields
you would
like your
subscribers
to fill in (eg.
first name
and company
name)
6)
Check you
have
everything
as you want
it and click
Generate
Form Code
(bottom
right next
to the
Return
button).
7)
The next
page
contains a
field with
the HTML
code you
will need to
put on the
newsletter
page of your
website. The
form itself
can be laid
out and
styled to
keep it in
line with
any design
you have on
your site.

Customising
the
'Success'
page after
subscribing
After the
member has
filled in
their
details and
clicked
submit, they
are
automatically
added to
your mailing
list. They
are then
redirected
to a
'Success'
page. You
can
customise
this so it
redirects to
a page on
your website
by following
the steps
below.
1) Login
to your
account and
enter the Client
Area
2)
Within the Client
Area,
click Website
Integration.
You will
find this
under Set
Up
within the Email
Broadcaster
list
3)
Now click Result
Screens
and then
click the Create
Result
Screen
button.
4)
Choose the Opt-in
Confirm
option from
the Type
dropdown.
The Name
field is for
your
reference
only for
example; Newsletter
Subscription
Confirmation
Screen.
5)
The Link
should be
the link URL
of the page
on your
website
which you
would like
subscribers
to be
returned to
(e.g
www.yoursite.com/newsletterconfirm.htm).
6)
Select the
mailing list
the result
screen
relates to.
7)
Once you are
happy click
Submit
